Welcome to my travel journal, Sumercé! 🌍🦜 Explore the world through my eyes and be captivated by the beauty of Colombia. Join me on a journey of visual tales of birdwatching in Colombia and around the globe, transporting you to remote places and connecting you with the richness of nature, culture, and biodiversity. Let's ignite our imaginations together, share the passion for birds, and unleash the intense desire to connect with nature.

My name is Leyden Heredia, birdwatching tour guide, environmental educator, speaker, and advocate for wildlife and nature. In five years of birdwatching adventures across 18 out of the 32 departments in my country I´ve been raising awareness and educating through digital channels and socialmedia with my proyect called 'Asherita Viajera.' Asherita viajeraWithin this initiative, I actively share and promote diverse locations and events committed to conservation, as well as rural and community-based birdwatching. In my quest for the most stunning feathered gems, my lifelist proudly boasts 1160 species spanning 7 countries.

I seek to portray my unique experiences through various content formats in a fun and educational way, narrating travel stories as I explore territories and connect with initiatives that make significant efforts to conserve and sustainably utilize areas of peace and conservation, as well as the birds that inhabit them.

One of my great passions is giving lectures at national and international events. I also work as an environmental educator and establish powerful partnerships in favor of regenerativity, such as with Biotácora Colombia. Together, we design transformative experiences hand in hand with local communities, involving intercultural, pedagogical, and scientific encounters. Our aim is to incorporate regenerative practices into birdwatching tourism, thereby strengthening local communities while connecting with the knowledge of indigenous peoples. Sounds beautiful, doesn't it? We can make it a reality! Let's dream together of an unforgettable journey.
